My kids have been trying to work in each of their classes each day. It's fun to see them face-time some of their friends to work on things together too. Thank you to ALL of their teachers for putting together the work for them to complete.
Here are just a few highlights from lately-
Hannah is going to state for solo ensemble for her vocal solo--thanks Mrs. Koz! She received a 🌟 1st on her district level 'virtual' recording that she had to send in. Mrs. Koz recorded the accompaniment so she could sing along to it and record the video. Thanks Mrs. Koz for encouraging her to do this.
Josie has been loving her planting projects from Mr. Zobeck, her books to read from Mrs. White, and has been doing a lot of painting in her spare time too.
Allie is loving writing and receiving letters from Mrs. Easter and Mrs. Sorensen and others in the community. Allie has also been enjoying her own seed planting activity.
JJ has been working through his class material and looks forward to the phone calls from his teacher, Mrs. Philippi. He also loves to give himself stickers when he finishes something.
Together the kids have been getting exercise clearing away the brush and filling in holes in a part of our land like on the old frontier. They've also been using up lots of sidewalk chalk outside. Our two dogs are getting spoiled from tons of walks together.

Great news!
Our public libraries will be re-opening (sort of!) on April 27th by offering curbside pickup of materials. This means that patrons and students can request library materials by phone or email. Library staff will designate a pickup date and time for the patron, collect the materials, checkout the materials to the patron, and then set the materials outside the library doors at the specific pickup time for the patron to collect.
Patrons will need to contact the library location where they would like to pickup the materials to organize a curbside pickup:
Birnamwood: 715-449-3120, bir@shawanolibrary.org
Bonduel: 715-758-2267, bon@shawanolibrary.org
Mattoon: 715-489-3333, mat@shawanolibrary.org
Shawano: 715-526-3829, sha@shawanolibrary.org
Tigerton: 715-535-2194, tig@shawanolibrary.org
Wittenberg: 715-253-2936, wit@shawanolibrary.org
In addition to physical materials, the public library offers a ton of digital resources including ebooks, audiobooks, digital magazines, streaming movies and TV series, animated children's picture books, college prep courses, core adult skills courses, and music and art instruction lessons which are all available at infosoup.org (actually, there's a lot more digital resources, but those are the most popular).
For patrons that may have been caught without a library card when the libraries closed, that's OK! Staff can issue library cards by phone (715-526-3829), email (sha@shawanolibrary.org) or by using this handy online form: https://infosoup.info/ws/mar-31-2020/apply-library-card-online
