On March 14, 2024 Gresham School District hosted guest author of Finding My Dance, Ria Thundercloud, and guest author of Happy in My Own Skin, Terri Golie for their Family Literacy Night. Students in grade 4K - 5 also had the opportunity to work with Ria Thundercloud during the school day. Ria Thundercloud provided a reading of her book and showed the students some of her Indigenous dancing skills. We would like to thank both authors for their time and willingness to share their books with us. It was an inspirational evening for our families, students, and staff!

Homework Club has been working with 4-H about the five senses. This week we did "hearing". The students had to put cotton in their ears and see if they could find another student with an egg filled with goodies that sounded like theirs. Then they played the telephone game to see how things had changed by the end of the conversation. They all had a very nice time. Thank You 4-H.
