**Here are a few words of wisdom:
Cinco de Mayo means "fifth of May" in Spanish. It is a day set aside to
celebrate the victory of Mexican troops against invading French forces.
Mexicans and Mexican-Americans alike continue to celebrate the courage
of these men who fought and won against all odds.
That was a long time ago in another country, but you may have more in
common with these soldiers than you think. After all, many of us have to
battle with challenges that come into our lives uninvited, such as serious
illness or the loss of a loved one, or maybe the divorce of our patents.
Listen to these words of encouragement from Eleanor Roosevelt:
You have to accept whatever comes, and the important
thing is that you meet it will courage and with the best
that you have to give.
In 1862, Mexican troops met the French army with courage. They gave it
the best they could. You can meet life's challenges with courage, too. Just
reach out for help when you need it , then give it the best you've got.
With something to think about, Make it a great day . . . . or not. The choice is yours.
