***Here are a few words of wisdom:
Menander (min AN der) was an ancient Greek comic who is considered by
some to be the "father of modern romantic comedy." He wrote more than a
hundred plays that were full of humor and surprises. If he were alive today,
he might write screenplays for Whoopi Goldberg, Sandra Bullock, or Tom Hanks.
Now listen to what he has to say to us, more than two thousand years later:
To live is not to live for one's self alone:
let us help one another.
Today, think about ancient Menander and step out of yourself long enough
to help someone else. Help someone who needs a little encouragement or
support. Offer or help a teacher or to help out at home . According to old
Menander, that's what living is all about.
Remember this: In the end, helping others helps you live a healthier,
happier life.
With something to think about, Make it a great day . . . . or not. The choice is yours.
