**Here are a few words of wisdom:
Eleanor Roosevelt was the wife of former president Franklin D.
Roosevelt. Once she was asked if she had any sadness about her life.
Her funny answer came as quite a surprise. She said:
I would have liked to have been prettier.
But beauty is only skin deep, right? Eleanor Roosevelt's gift to the world
was that she was beautiful on the inside where it really counts. Here are
a few words of her wisdom:
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience
in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do that
which you think you cannot do.
So here's the challenge for today: Be brave. Notice what stops you from
being the best you can be. Are you afraid of something? Are you afraid
of not being smart enough? Are you afraid that people don't like you?
If you are, talk about it with someone you respect - your parents or
favorite teacher. Then, look fear in the face, and make it a great day ....
or not. The choice is yours.
